very welcoming and very helpful staff who made our stay easier than we could have hoped. A sense of perfection in the service is to be emphasized! the dinner was simply divine! The best stop you can make for Minhintale and even Anuradhapura. You will leave Minhintale with as many fond memories of the accommodation as of the Buddhist site.
The host was amazing. couldn't do enough for us. we were welcomed with a drink and snacks. he also got a bike for us and helped with the fuel too. he informed us of the best places to visit too. We had an evening meal which was amazing and plentiful as was our breakfast. he also made us a refreshing cold drink after we had been for a walk too. room was comfortable.
I guess it depends on the purpose of your visit really, for us it suited our purposes of what we wanted to achieve in the area and that was following our Buddhist faith. The hotel was good, the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was a typical Sri Lankan one, we had an evening meal at a reasonable cost and the food was good.
Highly recommended, if in Mihintale and btw way more interesting (and also cheaper) than Sigiriya
Stayed a night at this lovely place. They cooked me a very fresh and delicious vegetarian meal, the breakfast was another story! It was so big I couldn't even finish it! I also got to climb Mihintale, thanks to Koshala, he kinda insisted that I should see it and took me right in time just before the sunset on his scooter and didn't even charge me anything. The place was perfectly clean, The bed super comfy, The WiFi fast, My bicycle had a safe and dry spot to park.
